Update: Unlawful entry to motor vehicles and wounding, Gold Coast District

Gold Coast police have arrested a 15-year-old boy following investigations into a series of unlawful entry and wilful damage to motor vehicles offences overnight.

Around 11.00pm on September 23, police were called to Waterford Court Bundall, following reports that a group of approximately five people had allegedly damaged a glass window of an apartment building, as well as unlawfully entering and damaging five vehicles in a carpark.

Vehicles at Gray Street, Balmoral Avenue and Slatyer Avenue had also been unlawfully entered.

The group was sighted leaving the scene in two vehicles which had allegedly been stolen from a private residence at Glyn Street, Benowa, earlier in the which were located around 2.30am.

Vehicles at Taperell Drive and Tooloona Street, Tugun were also damaged.

A vehicle then crossed the border into NSW, before returning to damage cars at Surfers Paradise where one of the group allegedly assaulted a car owner.

Just before 4pm today, NSW Police arrested three teens, two aged 15 and a 16-year-old at Tweed Heads South.

At 8pm tonight, another 15-year-old-boy was taken into custody at Varsity Lakes. He is currently assisting police with inquiries.
