Suspicious house fire, Slacks Creek

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Slacks Creek in the early hours of this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 12.15am, a person has deliberately started a fire in the front bedroom of an unoccupied single-story property at Wagensveldt Street, before running from the scene.

QFES attended the address and extinguished the blaze. The house sustained significant flame, smoke and water damage.

Detectives from the Logan CIB have declared a crime scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
